A drive by road safety campaigners is attempting to get the typical "man in the van" to be more aware of his blood pressure and that of those around him by offering discount mobile bp monitors to UK residents who choose to display the sticker - 'if you can't take the pressure - take the bus'.
The UK's van driving community has come under much criticism for adding to the stress level of other road users and on the run up to Christmas even more attention is drawn to the urgency of couriers and parcel delivery firms whose vans contribute most yet they too are at risk from high blood pressure.
The campaign - called Vantastic will promote regular roadside blood pressure checks to assess the heart health of drivers and pedestrians.
High blood pressure is easily detected by measuring it and this campaing aims to demonstrate how easy and quick that can be done using one of the latest affordable blood pressure monitors.
If this awareness campaign proves successful it is expected that further niche target groups will be approached in other creative and effective ways.
